This is the MKIII version of Primus' impressive Powerlighter. It is wind-resistant and waterproof with a powerful 1300 degree centigrade flame and features a piezo electronic ignition system. Perfect for camping and bushcraft and small enough to fit easily into a survival kit.
The flame is adjustable for high or low temperatures and fuel saving and the re-designed automatic flip-top cap helps to keep out most dust and debris as well as preventing accidental ignition. The operation is nice and simple - just depress the piezo ignition switch for a flame rated by Primus to be around 1300 degrees. The powerful flame means that you can direct it to light something even if it is at an awkward angle - try that with a standard lighter and you will find that the flame is always going to point up no matter what angle you aim it, often resulting in singed fingers. This power also means that it will ignite materials that other lighters would struggle with.
Another advantage of the Powerlighter is that it can be re-filled even when you are out camping or on the trail. You can fill it with the normal butane lighter fluid canisters or, you can buy the FILLING ADAPTER (available here to purchase as an extra on our website) which will enable you to re-fill the Powerlighter from your camping stove canister (the POWERGAS 100g canister is also available to buy here on our website).
Maintenance of the Powerlighter is nice and easy - just re-fill the tank to approximately 3/4 full for optimum results. There's no requirement for replacing flints like many other re-usable lighters.
